We are a family owned and operated farm business that grows and offers for sale a wide variety of in-season fruits and vegetables. All our vegetables are pre-picked fresh for your convenience. This has led several of our customers to say it’s “like having our own garden without the work”!
We are often asked if our produce is organic. Our goal is to provide produce which is both affordable and safe to eat. We do use chemicals in moderation, but as much as possible we seek to use other methods for the control of weeds, pests, and diseases.
What makes our produce different from the produce in the grocery store? The obvious answer is that our produce is fresher. However, another important factor is the selection of seed varieties. Over the years through trial (and error!) we have selected seed varieties for each vegetable which we think excel in both quality and flavour.
Why do we not advertise our prices? We believe that advertising prices can be somewhat misleading to the customer. Advertising the price alone does not tell you size, freshness, or taste of the product. So comparing the price from one store to another or from any store to our farm produce doesn’t tell you anything about whether you are getting value for your money. We encourage you to try our produce and make that judgment for yourself. Also, in addition to our regular selection of fruit and vegetables, we have, for those who would like to enjoy our produce in the off-season, special bushel prices for tomatoes, potatoes, onions and assorted winter squashes.
When you have guests coming over, and you’re planning and preparing a dinner, you hope that it will turn out well and that your guests will be pleased. In the same way, we fully realize that with every sale of produce from our farm we’ve indirectly become involved in the preparation of your meal. Having said that; it gives us joy and satisfaction in our work if you are pleased with your purchase. It is also our goal to do the best we can in all we do to bring honour to the Lord Jesus, whom we serve. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Colossians 3:17)
